  • 1 14 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 5 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 minced scallion
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 1 tbsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • a pinch of salt and pepper

  1. Saute garlic and scallion for 3-4 minutes.
  2. Add crushed tomatoes and remaining ingredients.
  3. Simmer for 30 minutes or longer.
